Post-Conviction

Post-conviction litigation in a criminal case is available after appeals have been exhausted. This type of litigation is based on violations of Constitutional rights such as Fifth Amendment rights, due process, inadequate attorney representation and other legal factors that would make a guilty plea or conviction invalid. Unlike appeals, which may only use evidence introduced during trial, in post-conviction litigation, your attorney may introduce evidence gathered outside of trial to show cause for overturning the case.
